Since I've experienced the majority of the changes and updates to Automation Anywhere, I'm confident that it's revolutionizing the entire digital transition with exceptional results, especially when combined and integrated with IBM's RPA, BAW or Datacap, and Operational Decision Manager, all of them combined to accomplish the greatest results and to maximize the productivity. and AI becomes even more potent. When I use this combination for our clients, we ensure that they will achieve better performance and a seamless user experience for their staff so that they can ultimately provide customers with a truly intelligent customer journey. Automation Anywhere is a great tool that offers a rich set of features and capabilities that will enable you to transform every single process in a workflow into a fully automated operation powered by your very own digital employee to get the best out of AI/ML and to achieve higher efficiency and improved productivity.

Nachteile

As much as I like the pre-built user interfaces and modules, with the drag-and-drop for bringing the Low/No code experience to users, I believe it's still not even near the no-code as they mentioned, it's a low-code with basic programming knowledge required to achieve the great results, that's why they need to consider rebuilding the documentation or at least the onboarding journey to make sure everyone is capable of achieving the great results they promise. many of our juniors struggle in the beginning and our assistance is always required until they get used to it.

Automation Anywhere provides powerful tools for automating tasks, but I think many of the commands that AA implements are complicating life like string manipulations, however I do like the Web Data Extraction
because it gives a great experience while automating web applications and extracting data from web pages.

Nachteile

Making things easy enough to allow non developers to make dev tasks and automations is not a good idea : these non developers will make low quality and bad coded solutions thatw will make the developer's task more complex.

I love every capabilities of Automation 360 and the way it simplifies the automation and process management, I like the intelligent AI/ML technologies involved into it for making it easy to discover, approve, and improve workflows before making decisions. In particular, some important positive points emerged, including automating business processes to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve accuracy, workflows can be tracked, managed, and optimized, integration of powerful backend apps and APIs is available, and incorporate AI into business operations to eliminate manual chores, I believe that businesses that do not comprehend the performance of their processes are unlikely to succeed.

Nachteile

We noticed some of the following problems: the subscription cost is quite hefty for some of our clients, there are no mobile apps yet, and all functionalities have not been fully documented by the vendor.

It can capture the UI elements easily. Best part is, while creating a robot; developers can select back end coding language as C# or .NET.
Robots are generally developed by drag/drop UI element selectors and programmatically arranging the flow of work.
So if anyone would want to see code behind these, just debug the Robot's json file and can get the codes.

Nachteile

With Robots deployed in local machine, User's system would get busy and will not allow to work on different tasks.
To avoid such disruption, developers rely on server level implementation. There are certain complexity involved in doing so as Infrastructure Team's involve more in Active Directory, Access & Identity Management etc.

Vorteile

The drag and drop feature of commands in Automation Anywhere makes coding quite easy. The lastest version 11.3.3 has the updated Bot Insight Dashboard where you can publish your data and can configure the data as per your requirement. Also for SAP related automation there is a new command SAP GUI which helps in automating SAP quite easily and quickly than using VB scripts or Metabots.

Nachteile

There are problems with the Control room of this software. Many a times the tasks uploaded in the control room cannot be deleted shows dependencies where in there are no dependencies. You have to get help of AA support team to get them deleted even if you have the roles and accesses to delete the tasks.

I have been working with Automation anywhere tool to automate multiple use cases ranging from handwritten docs to call centre scenarios . It's been an exiting journey and now it's discovery bot to AI enabled bot that we are looking forward to .

Nothing as such as the tool keeps on improving a lot and now it's way beyond the expected level

Best thing I like about the software is that it has number of instructions more than 500 which can cater the requirements of number of business processes. You should not know programming to start work with this. This has a credential vault to store the credentials used in the business process which are then saved as encrypted credentials.

If there is a sudden shutdown or when we restart the PC, have to manually start services through the Task Manager

While Automation Anywhere has been a great addition to our toolkit, it's not without its quirks. One thing that gave me a bit of trouble was the learning curve. Understanding all the features and options took some effort. Also, there were times when the automation workflows needed a bit of tweaking to work seamlessly with certain software. And, of course, there's the inevitable fear of something going wrong with automation – a glitch or hiccup that needs troubleshooting.

There are plenty of features which Automation Anywhere team is adding in their new version of AA360 starting from Variable data types, number of excel operations, Package creation, Python integration, AI/ML integration of Microsoft & AWS & lot more.

Currently facing difficulty in migrating bots from v11 to AA360 as some features are not working on new version. Currently Automation Anywhere team is working on maturing the migration utility and will get it in coming releases.

- To have a Community Edition in which you can deploy your solution and test almost everything in the Workbench Editor (Task Bot).
- Very usefull training, you can make very much different trainings as Bot Developer Training, Business Analyst Training, Architecture Training, etc. And almost everything is for free.
- You can access to get certificate, and its very cheap.
- The AA Software has good quality and it makes the things developed in the code in a low-level, so it can be faster than others rpa softwares.

Nachteile

If I would have to say anything bad about AA software it would be that, if you want to get familiar with the control room, you have to get the Enterprise version of AA. Its true that with the Community version you can access to the Control Room and see what is happening here, with the example processes that AA Community version gives to us. But we cannot update new processes to Control Room to see their results and be able to analyse its data.

The Xml command is not so useful when it comes to getting the value from child nodes separately.
Also Excel command doesn't have the concept of data table due to this we have to iterate entire data and we con not able to find one required from all available data.

OCR capabilities are not on par with the quality of the rest. Also, a better interface with RDP systems would be nice to interface with old legacy systems (or a small cliente to install in thos legacy machines)
