Electrical Bid Manager Enterprise is the offering of Vision InfoSoft that serves the bid management needs of commercial and residential electrical contractors. The software provides features such as conversion calculators, on-screen takeoff, proposal generators, and conceptual estimates.
Electrical Bid Manager Enterprise comes with an integrated pricing database service that helps electrical contractors incorporate the most recent prices of electrical supplies into their bids. The software provides features such as electrical database, material pricing data, and electronic on-screen plan takeoff. The tool includes thousands of pre-built assemblies and users can create new assemblies as per the requirements. The software offers customize wiring methods, conduit types, fittings, and wire type to create a more competitive bid.
Vision InfoSoft offers three editions of their Electrical Bid Manager Enterprise offering: Classic, Plus, and Pro. The Classic version is for light users while the Pro version is more suited for electrical contractors that need significant editing capabilities in their programs to manage bids and estimates.

it is extremely flexible in breaking a job into many parts and being able to change things as needed throughout the bid process. You can always pull portions out of the main job should change orders or alternate options need to be estimated along with the main part of the job. take off is easy and flexible. Job extensions are quick and you can verify pricing on large $ materials quickly. Form letters make the final bid preparation painless and help to provide consistant format across proposals.
Nachteile
A couple of items although they are definately not reasons to stay awaywould be:
-> Pricing is not updateable with Trade Service (they have some bad blood between them) so i have to use their price updates.
-> It would be nice if they had a report generator so one could generate some reports that are not available in the program
-> would like to see more format options in the form letters. Rich text formatting would be a nice addition to an already useable feature

There are a lot of programs out there and this is one area where price is not an indicator of quality. Look carefully (try before you buy!) and take off a job that has many alternates and options if possible because that is where the real flexibility is key. See if you can make large changes to the breakouts with minimal efforts as these things seem to happen in the real world. You want it to work for you, not against you. Once you make a decision learn it well to make it really function for you. Don't expect the first estimate to be dead on. There are a lot of variables and adjustments that can be made to labor rates and pricing discounts and until you get these tuned to your company and style it may be a bit rocky. But once you get things adjusted you will know that what it says can be relied on.

Overall this application is ready to compete with other top electrical biding software developers.
Vorteile
great integration with windows, if you are familiar with Microsoft Windows and the office suite, then it is really easy to navigate the software. You can also utilize windows commands like copy and paste within the application.
Nachteile
Upgrades and customers request could be developed faster. Customer service is friendly and knowledgeable but you have to wait for a callback, which tends to be 20 to 40 min after the initial call.
