SEC Solutions’ Electrical Estimating software provides electrical and plumbing contractors with a set of project estimating tools. This solution is suitable for businesses of all size and both single user and multi-user network platforms.
key features include a split-screen interface and dual monitor configuration, onscreen, 2D and 3D takeoff, Excel integration, “what-if” modeling, conceptual estimates, visual assemblies, historical database and a proposal generator.
Users have the ability define labor and material cost centers and markup codes. Additionally, this product integrates with SEC Solutions’ price updating service and other modules for other bid management, project management and scheduling, job costing and customer management functionality.
SEC Solutions Electrical Estimating is compatible with Microsoft operating systems and is available for both on-premise and cloud-based deployment. Support is offered via phone, email, product tutorials and in-person training.

Its easy to use, well designed.
It can be tailored almost any way to suit the way a user runs their business as all companies have different requirements from what they require from software.
If other modules i.e. job costing, procurement & Invoicing are purchased then it makes an excellent 1 stop shop for job costing analysis and comparing estimated costs against actual job costs.
The vendor SEC are excellent at a quick turn around of any enhancement request that a user feels would benefit them (sometimes there is a cost, which is understandable) sometimes there is no cost for these, which is always appreciated by a user.
If a user finds a glitch in the software as all software sometimes has, then SEC fix it almost immediately, there is no waiting for endless approval from other departments as can sometimes happen. Its as if their software designer is always on hand to fix any issues instantly. Their support line is always helpful and are pro active with every issue no matter how small the query.
It does what it says on the TIN and more besides
Nachteile
No issues with Vendor Excellent all round service
Software posting to other software (I.E. Accounts Package & CIS) Sage for example. Does not always post into it as you require or maybe expect. However there are many accounts packages on the market and every user wants different things from software and as said above, SEC work with you as a user to enhance their software, therefore the posting to other software is constantly being reviewed.

Use the software for at least 12 months before evaluating as I am always finding new things that the software can do when we require some form of report or cost/job breakdown that we have not previously tried to obtain.

Live prices and the fact I can always talk to someone if I need help. I've also taken a number of one on one training courses.
Nachteile
Nothing at all, It now links with contract planning which was a feature I was particularly interested in.
